Allison is an owner and operator of Upland Organics, a mixed livestock (cattle) and organic grain farm located near Wood Mountain, Saskatchewan, with her husband and three children. They have been certified organic for over a decade and produce several crop types including pulses, cereals, and oilseeds. After completing her BSc in Environmental Toxicology at the University of Guelph, Allison moved to Saskatchewan to complete first her MSc and then PhD in Toxicology at the University of Saskatchewan. She is the president of the Canadian Organic Growers, a member of the Standards Interpretation Committee and sits on the Science Advisory Body for the current Organic Science Cluster. Allison is very interested in promoting the organic industry; especially through on-farm research. It is her belief that organic producers have a very interesting and positive story to tell.
