OLDE THYME COUNTRY SUPPER AND DANCE
All work and no play makes a dull day!  This year we continue the tradition of celebrating organic food and farmers with an Old Thyme Country Dinner and Dance. Experts will lead us through square dance steps or you can stick with the good old fashioned 2 steps, waltzes and polkas that are part of the fabric of Prairie celebrations. Whether you dress in keeping with our Pioneer Theme or in your cleanest modern day “farmer” clothes we know you’ll have a great time!”

Enjoy wholesome and delicious local organic fare in a warm and inviting old-fashioned way. This evenings “supper” is sure to satisfy your taste buds with a specially selected and prepared menu.

Enjoy the evening's entertainment and learn how to “Box the Gnat”, “Half Sashay” and “Do-si-do to a Wave” with Square Dance Caller
- Monique van Bergen.
Monique is sure to get everyone swinging, moving and grooving to her calls and music.

Once you have gotten the beat you will be inspired to keep moving to the wonderful sounds of
- Martin Janovsky and his four-piece band. A familiar face and sound at TCU and in Saskatchewan in general, Martin will start us out with some old time music and take us through 4 decades of dance sounds.

Everyone is sure to have a good time so bring your dancing shoes and a partner.

RESEARCH POSTER EXPO

MATERIAL SUBMISSION
the largest organic conference on the Canadian prairies is coming to Saskatoon Nov 16-18, 2008. This will be an excellent opportunity for researchers to connect with organic producers. Research posters will be prominently displayed for the entire 3 days of the conference. If you have research of interest to organic producers, please consider this venue for extension.

Space has been made available for presentation of contemporary research relating to organic production, in the form of poster presentations. Please submit an 8½ x 11 copy of the poster with your application. The committee reserves the right to exclude any posters which are deemed to be outside of the scope of the conference theme.
We strongly encourage you to attend this valuable conference, but I realize that researchers are busy. You DO NOT HAVE TO ATTEND THE CONFERENCE TO SUBMIT A POSTER.

We encourage both student and professional posters. We will again be offering a prize for the best student poster.
Please encourage your students and your colleagues to participate in this event.

For details download the poster submission instructions in one of these file formats:
MS WORD
ADOBE PDF

Abstracts should be submitted to organic@usask.ca no later than Oct 15, 2008. Posters should be received from those not attending the conference no later than Nov 6
