CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
We are looking for volunteers to help with our Fifth Biennial Organic Connections Conference to be held November 2-3, 2012 at the Conexus Arts Centre in Regina.
All volunteers are required to work a minimum of 4 hours.
Morning shifts will be 8:30am to 12:30pm
Afternoon 12:00 to 4:30pm
Evening shift 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE:
1. Trade Show Assistants (2 opportunities/days)
Assist with the set-up and take-down of the tradeshow
Assist tradeshow participants
Watch tradeshow booths
General assistance with events throughout the conference
2. Greeters (6-8 opportunities on Thursday and Friday)
Greet conference attendees on Friday
Stuff conference proceedings and assemble written materials assembled (prior to the commencement of the event)
Assist at the registration table
General assistance with events throughout the day
3. Conference Photographer (1 opportunity which can be shared)
Take high-quality photos throughout the event to be posted on website and future conference material
Camera will be provided
4. Audiovisual assistants (3 volunteers per day)
Ensure proper functioning of computers in seminar rooms
Notify audio visual personnel at TCU of any problems and get them resolved
Watch equipment when rooms are vacant
General assistance with events throughout the conference
5. General Conference Assistants (2 opportunities/day)
Collect tickets during meals
Ensure appropriate sponsorship banners and posters are in place throughout the conference
Ensure gifts are delivered to seminar rooms for session chair to present to speakers
Assist speakers with any questions including room location and speaking times
General assistance with events throughout the conference
FREE LUNCH
All volunteers will be able to attend conference sessions on the day they are volunteering. All volunteers will be provided lunch/or refreshments on the day they work.
Volunteers may be asked to attend a short training/update session prior to the event.
